Saturday Night Live: popularly known as SNL, is an American show telecasted on television since 1975. It is a comedy show made by Lorne Michaels, and the show was originally named NBC’S SATURDAY NIGHT. SNL has aired 929 episodes since it was telecasted and concluded its 46th season on May 22, 2021, making it one of the longest-running network television programs in the United States.

In the entire journey of their show, Saturday night live has received tremendous appreciation and awards over 40 years of being on television.

Until 2018, the show had received 252 Primetime Emmy Award nominations, the most received by any television program, 6 Writers Guild of America Awards, and 2 Peabody Awards.
