Steph Curry injured in the 116-100 Warriors Defeat to Celtics NBA Finals Game 3

At the end of the third quarter Steph Curry hit a 3-pointer that measured 27 feet to give on the Golden State Warriors ahead of the Boston Celtics for the first time since the start of the minute.

Curry proved to be the sole Warriors player who was capable of battling the Celtics their formidable defense, which showed its strength late in the game when it held Golden State to 11 points in the fourth quarter.

He scored the most points on Wednesday, scoring 31 points. Golden State will be desperately hoping that he can recover before Game 4.

“Obviously I’m in pain, but I’ll fine,” Curry told reporters following the game. “See the way I’m feeling on Monday and then prepare for Friday.

“I do not feel I’ll be a player. I’m going to take advantage of the remaining 48 hours of time to be prepared.”

Boston took a quick lead , thanks to two three-pointers by Jaylen Brown, who was the leading scorer for in scoring for the Celtics in scoring with 27 points as well as nine rebounds and five assists during the opening quarter. Boston’s lead grew to up to 15 points, and the Celtics had a 33-22 advantage to the end of 2nd quarter.

The Warriors scored just 8-of-23 points in the first half while their defense was shaky and conceded numerous penalties, including three for Curry in the first half.

However, as was of late, Golden State regrouped in the third quarter, and began on a 14-3 streak, which was enough to eliminate the Celtics leading.

The second game, a third quarter scoring burst was enough to seal victory for the Dubs However, this time, the Celtics came up with a plan to come against.

“I was impressed that our team was able to stay calm during those times,” Horford told reporters following the game. “As you’ve seen earlier in the season it could have turned out to be a disaster in a hurry.

“But we kept going to the point and just stayed in, didn’t get scared and kept playing.”

Boston was able to come back with an 11-6 run. took the lead back into the fourth, and never let up again.

Jayson Tatum Marcus Smart and Brown all had at least 20 points with five rebounds, and five assists. They became one of the trio to do this feat in the NBA Finals game since the Los Angeles Lakers’ trio of Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Michael Cooper in 1984 -an event that coincidentally ended with a seven game Celtics victory.

Could the NBA Finals be an echo of the 1984 outcome? Game 4 will be due to start on Friday offer some answers.
