Ashley Judd revealed a number of details regarding the death of her mom, the country music star Naomi Judd, in an interview with Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America. Judd stated that Naomi Juddd was struggling with mental health issues. “Her brain was hurting,” Judd said. “It physically injured her.”
“She utilized a weapon” Ashley Judd said. “A firearm. This is the information that we’re not comfortable divulging.”
Judd admitted that her mother committed suicide she said her family was uncomfortable with the news, “but understand that we’re in a situation where in the event that we don’t speak about it, somebody else will.”

Naomi Judd was part of the famous duo The Judds, along with their daughter Wynonna. They were the top country group during the 1980s, before Naomi Judd was diagnosed with Hepatitis C in the year 1991. The news of her death came out in April, just a few days prior to her induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Ashley Judd said that the admiration and praise of her peers didn’t help her mother’s mental illness.
Judd has also admitted she was the one who discovered her mother when she passed away. “I am a victim of both grief and trauma after discovering that she was dead,” said Judd.
