Britney Spears was married to her long-time love Sam Asghari at a Southern California.
Asghari’s agent Brandon Cohen confirmed the couple’s wedding. The representative said: “I am very ecstatic this day is here, and they’re married. I’m sure he was waiting for this day for a long time. He’s so kind and helpful every step of the journey.”
The wedding took place just nine months later than the couple was engaged , and seven years after Spears had ended her conservatorship.
As she sought to end the court case that had governed all aspects of the way she lived her life Spears stated that she wanted to get married to Asghari and have children.
Spears became pregnant in the middle of this year but had an unplanned miscarriage in March.
The couple met at the filming location of the “Slumber Party” music video in the year 2016.
The wedding did not come without unexpected drama. Spears’s first husband was arrested for trying to disrupt their wedding.
Ventura County Sheriff’s Capt. Cameron Henderson said officers responded to a call of trespassing shortly at around two p.m. On Thursday.
He claims that the pop singer’s former husband of the couple, Jason Alexander, was taken into custody at the scene of the wedding.
Henderson claims Alexander was detained after police discovered that he was wanted for his arrest from another county.
Alexander posted an Instagram live stream when he walked up to the security of the event.
In what was a largely empty room that was decorated, Alexander informed them that Spears invited him to the event.
“She’s my wife from my beginning and my sole woman,” said Alexander, who was briefly wed to Spears who was his childhood friend in 2014.
Their wedding lasted just 55 minutes.
Spears was earlier married to Kevin Federline, with whom she has two sons who are aged 14 and 15.
